The 4th Silk Road & Young Dreams 2021
"Poverty Alleviation, Rural Revitalization, Green Development, International Cooperation and Olympic Games"
To achieve young dreams in poverty alleviation and green development, the 4th Silk Road & Young Dreams (SRYD) is attracting young people from all over the world to participate, show their talents and let their dreams fly. With the theme of “Poverty Alleviation, Rural Revitalization, Green Development, International Cooperation and Olympic Games”, this event will promote people-to-people bonds, and enhance the youth exchanges along the “Belt and Road”.
The 4th SRYD will build bridge for young people to link up the societies through six competitions including speech, music, photography, sand painting, sculpture, and start-up. The youth is encouraged to elaborate their understandings and suggestions on poverty reduction, Olympic spirit and sustainable development from an innovative perspective. Especially, “Silk Road Youth Start-up Competition” is newly-added this year. On the basis of studying the cases of China’s successful poverty reduction, the participants may analyze their advantages and limitations, or design start-up plans according to local resources. In addition, the organizing committee will organize lectures, sessions and field researches to enrich the event.
The 4th Silk Road & Young Dreams is guided by China NGO Network for International Exchanges, hosted by Silk Road Cities Alliance, China Friendship Foundation for Peace & Development, Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies of Renmin University of China, China Nationality Culture Foundation, Beijing Belt & Road Cooperative Community. The fundamental goal of the project is to provide the youth of countries and regions along the Silk Road who have different backgrounds and dreams, with a stage to shine with talents and potentials, a platform to feel the pulse of the present era. The event is annually held from 2018, more than 1000 young candidates from 100 countries have registered for the SRYD. It is also supported by the embassies, Shanghai Cooperation Organization and mainstream media.The preliminary and final of all the competitions will be online, and an offline awarding ceremony is planned to be held on August 12.
Silk Road Cities Alliance and the Belt Road Initiative Sri Lanka (BRISL) signed an MOU on the 3rd Silk Road & Young Dreams Project in 2020. The Two Parties are dedicated to deepening the traditional friendship, making common efforts to build the Belt and Road and promoting non-governmental cooperation in education and culture between China and Sri Lanka
凝聚青春力量,筑梦减贫发展,第四届“丝路青年梦想汇”正吸引着世界各国青年积极参与,展示才华,放飞梦想。本届活动以“乡村振兴、绿色发展与国际合作”为主题、“冰雪冬奥”为分主题,讲好中国故事,促进民心相通,彰显青年时代担当,丰富“一带一路”务实合作内涵。
第四届“丝路青年梦想汇”活动由中国民间组织国际交流促进会指导,丝绸之路城市联盟、中国友好和平发展基金会、北京丝绸之路合作与发展促进会、中国人民大学重阳金融研究院、中国民族文化艺术基金会等机构联合主办,旨在为来自不同背景、怀抱美好憧憬的丝路青年提供施展才能、放飞梦想的舞台。“梦想汇”从2018年起连续举办三届,以其丰富的内容、活泼多样的形式,深受年轻人喜爱,来自五大洲100多个国家的千余名代表参与活动,也得到丝路沿线国家驻华使馆、上海合作组织及社会各界和主流媒体的大力支持和协作。
今年各项赛事的海选、初赛和决赛将继续采用线上“云交流”方式,进一步提升其品质和内容,并拟定于8月12日“国际青年日”举行隆重的颁奖典礼。
